Cluster flies begin to enter homes in the late summer early autumn as it is their time to begin hibernation. It is not uncommon to see large amounts of flies on any walls that face south west as they want to feel the warmth of the area. Once they do enter, you will usually find them in areas such as loft spaces and wall cavities. You will often see them around top level windows as well as they can enter further through light fittings and cracks and crevices.
