Flea Treatments in Ipswich, Norwich, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, and Kings Lynn

Fleas are notoriously difficult to get rid of and if you ever have an issue with them you should seek professional assistance. Millennium Pest Control offer flea treatments across the East Anglia area including Norwich, Ipswich, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, and Kings Lynn. If you have pets i.e cats or dogs it is not generally enough to just have them treated by a vet. This is due to the fact that fleas lay up to 50 eggs every day and 2000 in their lifetime and your animals take shake them off wherever they go around the property. This is why it is important to seek professional assistance They spread where ever your pets take them and once they get to the larvae stage they prefer dark, narrow and dusty spaces. When Millennium Pest Control conduct a flea treatment we require to treat the entire property and with particular focus on the skirting areas as this matches their behaviour.

Here are some of the numbers of Flea Treatments Millennium Pest Control have conducted in areas over the past 12 months in East Anglia:

Flea Treatments Ipswich: 11

Flea Treatment Norwich: 10

Flea Treatment Cambridge: 7

Flea Treatment Bury st Edmunds: 5

Flea Treatment Kings Lynn: 8

Millennium Pest Control Ltd do advise customers in the areas of Ipswich, Norwich, Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, and Kings Lynn that over the course of the following 2 – 3 weeks after the flea treatment the activity will slow and the pest will reduce in numbers. On the 3rd or 4th week depending on the numbers you are noting it may require a second flea treatment.

Wasp nest Ipswich, Wasps nest Norwich, Wasp nest Cambridge

Last season was a bumper summer for wasps in all areas of East Anglia.

'Wasps nest Ipswich, Wasps nest Norwich, Wasps nest Cambridge' were all we heard over and over again in our office.

The word wasp nest must have been mentioned thousands of times and the eradication of thousands of wasps nests carried out.

Our peak of wasps nest treatments came on 15th August where we treated 115 in one single day. As a business we have very accurate on line readings of where we achieved these numbers.

Wasps nests Bury St Edmunds: 12

Wasps nest Stowmarket: 9

Wasps nests Norwich: 48

Wasps nests Ipswich: 32

Wasps Nests Felixstowe: 6

Wasps nest Cambridge: 8

This gives an idea of where in East Anglia we found the treatments of wasps nests to be most predominant.

This also was backed up as we saw the numbers of wasps nests in Cambridge, wasps nest in Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe drop quite substantially into the later part of September and then barely not a wasp in sight come late September.

The wasps nests in Norwich continued right through to late October where we had a figure of 9 still being treated on the 21st .

Our final wasps nest in Ipswich was treated on the 1st November, this proved to be our final wasps nest eradication in East Anglia for 2018

If our past trends come to the fore then we would expect a quieter summer this term as we have found exceptional seasons happen roughly one in every four, with global weather changes and our climate becoming warmer who can tell!!

For any advice on nest eradication please call: 0800 0854460, wasps can be found in lofts, trees, compost heaps, gutters and wood piles, never be surprised where they will appear

Industrial Clean, Ipswich, Suffolk

Millennium Pest Control Ltd conduct deep cleans at various sites accross East Anglia. Here is an example of one completed recently in Ipswich, Suffolk. The task was to deep clean around large motored fans from a large industrial chiller unit. The technician's required a scissor lift to reach the areas that required the clean. We have staff who are IPAF trained and certified so they are able to operate this type of machinery.

Industrial clean dis 1

Health and safety is paramount to any operation we take on and the staff follow and understand strict risk assessments and method statements. They are required to always wear the correct PPE when on site and must adhere to any emergency procedures.

The team successfully removed all the dirt and grime that had built up around the fan area leaving it, once again, with a shine. It is important for any business that have these machines regularly cleaned so they run efficently and remain serviceable.

Industrial clean dis 4

We are very aware of the need to keep anyone that already works on a site safe and therefore, ensure that any area that we are working on is cornered off and the supervisor's on site are aware we have begun the work.

Bedbug facts

Bed Bugs Close Up

Bedbugs are usually found in any cracks and crevices of the mattresses and even in bedframes. It is not usual to find them in luggage, clothing, or any type of bedding. They do not discriminate between dirty or clean areas to infest, contrary to all popular belief. You will often find that they are bought in if you have stayed away elsewhere, gone on holiday, or bought in material from elsewhere. Bedbugs feed on the blood of humans however; some can even feed off other animals although this is rare. Bit marks or rashes alone will not determine whether you have bedbugs or not. You need to seek for evidence of the insect itself or remnants of their skin.

When they gorge on human blood they can feed for up to 10 minutes and they can be filled for days. Bedbugs are attracted to warmth, moisture, vibration, and the CO2 that is released from warm blooded animals. They can lay dormant in an area for up to a year if there is no activity. During a females life cycle they can lay up to 200 eggs.

Once you have an infestation of Bedbugs they can prove difficult to eliminate without professional help. Millennium Pest Control Ltd recommends that when treating for Bedbugs a customer will require two treatments that are kept at least 3 weeks apart. It is important that when an insecticide is administered in a treatment the area must not be hoovered for 10-14 days to allow the active ingredient the time to work. It is also important not to change any habits in the home, carry on as normal as you need the Bedbugs to behave the same way so they come into contact with the insecticide. After this 14 day period we recommend that hoovering and cleaning should be done daily to eliminate any leftover eggs that have been laid.
