Bird Proofing Essex

Millennium Pest Control Ltd recently installed so bird spikes on top of ventilation units as the pigeon population was growing and they were beginning to cause an issue on the site in Essex. Bird waste and fouling can potentially be harmful to human health as the droppings can carry diseases such as; Psittacosis, Histoplasmosis, Extrinsic allergic alveolitis, and Salmonella. The nesting materials and the birds themselves can also cause other insect infestations which can include bird mite and biscuit beetle. This is why it important to control the areas that these birds can gather and nest.

This particular job was at a typical food produce establishment so there was a high risk to the staff that were on site. There would be a big risk to cross contamination to the food products on site which would affect the general public. If there was an establishment pigeon population on site this could also then attract rodents to the site which would produce other problems of their own. The area these birds were congregating was on top of the ventilation units and it is incredibly important to keep these areas serviceable and to ensure they continue to function effectively for the benefit of the store.

BIRD PROOF BRIGHT 2

Millennium Pest Control Ltd clean and sanitised these areas where the birds had been to neutralise any potentially harmful pathogens left in the bird waste. The technician then has skilfully installed bird deterrent spikes to these areas and it will prevent any birds landing, congregating, nesting, and fouling directly here which will, in turn, make the area safer for staff and customers.
