Millennium Pest Control Ltd are currently undertaking a vast number of loft clearances throughout East Anglia. The technicians are completing jobs in Suffolk, Norfolk, Bury St Edmunds, Kings Lynn, North Norfolk and along Woodbridge. Many of our customers that require these types of loft clearances have had either rodent or bird infestations within these areas before and the waste has made the loft spaces potentially harmful to human health. Rodent urine and droppings can carry harmful pathogens and carry diseases such as Leptospirosis (weils disease). While the bird waste and droppings can carry such things as; psittacosis, salmonella, and E Coli. Not only will this be an issue for the people living within the property but also for future tradesmen that need to access the loft for maintenance.
The Millennium technicians will: clear the loft of the contaminated insulation; bag this up and dispose of the waste via an on-site skip or take away to a waste site; hoover away any further droppings or debris left inside; spray the loft space fully with a sanitiser to neutralise any potentially harmful pathogens that are left within the loft space; and then finally lay fresh insulation. Every job is different and may present different challenges which is why we will have to survey each job individually and provide the customer with a quotation for the job. If there is asbestos or asbestos like material within the loft this will need to be checked and verified and taken away before we commence with any sort of clearances or cleans.
Millennium Pest Control Ltd carry this type of work out between the months of September- May. This due to health and safety and the temperature levels that loft spaces can reach during the summer months. The summer can also provide problems such as bee or wasp nests with these areas and it will not be safe for technicians too carry out this robust type of work.
