Identifying Bed Bugs

Would you know how to identify a Bed Bug infestation within your home?

Bed bugs can be difficult to spot, especially if the infestation is small. They are mainly nocturnal creatures and can lie dormant for many months without feeding.

They tend to harbour within the bed frames, however, they are also likely to hide within other furniture such as crevices in the wardrobes and chest of drawers and along the skirting board.

The initial signs of an infestation can be picked up from bites on your body, normally on the upper half and arms. It is unlikely you would be aware of the actual bite at the time but may notice small blood spots on the bedding the morning after.

In larger infestations the presence of the excrement's may be visible and occasionally the egg shells or skin that has been shed - each time a bug feeds they shed a layer of their skin as they become gorged and expand, these are called Nymph stages and represent the life cycle of the Bed Bug

It is important to treat as quickly as possible as soon as signs are prevalent as infestations can be tricky to treat.

Our prices start from £110+vat per treatment to all bedrooms within the property with a residual chemical which stays active for up to 6 weeks.
