We were called out to a loft job in Norwich recently as they had had a rodent issue here and the insulation had become contaminated with rodent urine and droppings. There can be a risk of cross contamination when areas get to this stage. Rodents can carry harmful pathogens such as Leptospirosis (Weil’s Disease) which is harmful to human health. Millennium had surveyed the loft space and provided a quotation to clear the old insulation and sanitise.
The technicians wear full PPE including overalls, gloves and face masks for protection. Once they enter the loft they will administer a PX Lepto solution across the loft to neutralise any potentially harmful bacteria. Setting up with loft boards and lighting the skilled technicians will remove the insulation, bag this up, and place it into the van to remove from the site. When clear, they will proceed to hoover any left-over debris and droppings and finally, they will administer a final spray sanitising the loft space.
