Spider Control

Preparation and Advice

Thank you for your visiting our website our aim is to eradicate your spider problem with 1 single treatment.

Before we arrive at the property we will need good access around the skirting boards and behind furniture leaving a gap where possible to do so of 12 -18 inches or 320mm – this provides good access for our spray treatment lances to reach critical harbourage points for spiders and their webbing.

Please make sure all pets and children are excluded from the rooms to be treated and do not re -enter for 4 hours after the treatment is completed. We also suggest fish tanks are removed or covered as insecticide can be harmful to aquatic life.

Treatment DETAILS - Cost £180.00+VAT

Schedule your treatment by booking and paying online to receive a 5% discount.

Our Professional Pest Controller will arrive at your property in an unmarked vehicle for complete discretion. We will survey the rooms or the whole property that requires treatment. We will use a professional chemical that will aim to control not only the pest itself but eradicate the prey reducing access to food materials and reducing the numbers of surviving spiders.
Our standard call-out and treatment cost will be based around £180.00+vat up to a three bedroom property, we would ask that all areas are hovered and cleaned before we arrive particularly around the ceiling and skirting junctions and inside window frames and doorways.
Just remember with any insecticide treatments there will be a four - hour exclusion time from the property and all pets will need to be removed this is something you need to take into consideration before booking your appointment.
If you have any queries it is advised to discuss this with our team via email, phone or tawk too all available on this site. Proofing and sealing of obvious access points can also aid in control but won’t achieve complete removal as it is unlikely any householder can seal a building completely.

Signs you have False Widow Spider

A tangle of structured like threads often becoming thick create webs located in dark secluded and elevated areas around the house are the most common signs of infestation along with the obvious visual signs of the spider themselves.
If bitten most people feel little to no effect however there are quite often symptoms of tingling sensations in the affected area that can last 24-48hrs. If it swells it may be a sign of infection and medical help should be obtained.
It is more likely that the spiders will be noted during the colder months as they look to shelter, however don’t be surprised to see them all year around particularly if left to their own devices in secluded areas we rarely visit within our homes, sheds and garages.

False Widow Spider Facts

The female spider will disseminate pheromones over her web to attract males to her, after courtship she will nest and produce a sac containing 94 eggs on average, these numbers can range to as high as 200. Little scary to read but not all survive as many are eaten before they emerge. Females live longer than males but mostly no longer than 1-2 years, the males will die shortly after mating.
The majority of false widows are found in the south of the country this mainly due to the warmer climate but some species are becoming common in northern locations.
Introduced via bananas from the Canary Islands and Madeira the spider is now well established within the UK and has been for many years.
They can be found in many buildings in secluded areas often up in elevated positions ready to catch flying insects and other crawling insects within our home and surroundings.
They have had huge media attention and that has caused a little hysteria around them, however the truth is they do bite but are no where near as dangerous as their cousins from abroad the ‘black widow spider’ the bite is often little more than a bee sting and won’t require medical attention, of course there is always the exception but that’s the case with any insect bite and certain reactions we have to them.
There are six species of widow spider in the UK, some common, some only introduced in lower numbers via travel and all follow the same habits, they range in size from 4mm – 15mm dependant.
Two spiders that are mistaken quite regularly for False Widows are the sector orb weaver and lace webbed spider. These are completely harmless to humans.

Brilliant service

Brilliant and friendly service by Tony Bennett, he was very knowledgeable and offered lots of advice. The report was completed very quickly and was very helpful to remember the key points. I’m very pleased with the service received and I would definitely recommend millennium pest control.

Good Value for money

When I saw I had to pay £200, I was a bit shocked, but didn't realise they would make three visits over six weeks!! - Plus supply all the poison and provide so much advice.
This represents great value and the guys are very friendly and I am very happy with the results.
My mice are not completely gone, but they are out of the house now and you can't really control what the neighbours do, but at least I now know whats happening and can stop them getting to the places I don't want them.
The service is so fast, I got a visit the very next day after I reported the problem, great company, highly recommended.
